This guide walks you through it, step by step. No tech skills needed — if you can copy and paste, you can do this. We’ll use Claude as the example, but the idea works in most AI tools.
Start a Project, not a chat
A Project is a workspace inside your AI that remembers everything across every conversation. Set it up once, and every chat inside it already knows your context. Without a Project, every new chat starts from zero. With one, you build on what came before.
How to do it: Open Claude. In the left sidebar, click Projects, then Create Project. Name it something simple — your business name works great.
PRO TIP
Make a separate Project for each part of your life. One for the business, one for personal. That way your client emails never get mixed up with your grocery lists — each Project keeps its own memory.
Give it the real briefing on you
This is the step everyone skips. Then they wonder why the answers feel generic. The fix is to actually introduce yourself, the way you’d brief a new hire on day one.
